A matched pair of Tiger painting diptych on leather with protective metal corners on box frame.
Both are of the same animal, on the same hide, painted at the same time and each are the same size (8"x18").
The paintings are box-framed and ready for wall hanging, and if hung together, they should be hung 1" apart.
Keep one for yourself and give the other to a loved one, spouse, good friend? Buying for 2 siblings - one each.
One of my unique 'Art on Leather' wildlife series.
Each painting has protective metal corner pieces. Ready to hang on the wall.
Painting fur means building up lots of layers with many different colours but the end result is worth the hours of creating the texture.
The reason for using leather as a medium to paint on is often asked. In this case as with all of my leather art, the leather hide chosen is not by accident. The texture and colour must add to the composition, in this case the size of texture perfectly added to the semi-3D effect. Some artists prepare the ground to give texture. I use the natural and random texture of leather in the same way.
These paintings do not require any glass so there will not be any 'reflections' or 'shadows' to spoil your viewing. The artwork is sealed - artwork you can touch.
